Passengers on second China-Vancouver flight at risk of measles

Passengers on a second flight from Beijing to Vancouver may be at risk of contracting measles, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.

A person diagnosed with measles exposed people on Air China flight CA991 — also labelled Air Canada flight AC6601 — which landed at Vancouver International Airport at 12:15 p.m. PT on Saturday.

This warning comes after a similar advisory two weeks ago, when a flight with the same number carried two passengers with measles to Vancouver.

Vancouver Coastal Health is asking anyone who was on that flight and not up to date with their immunizations to get a measles vaccination as soon as possible.
