A judge has convicted a senior Mountie who was on the scene when Robert Dziekanski was stunned with a Taser, saying the former officer lied at the public inquiry into the man's death.
The former Mountie was charged along with three other officers for their testimony at the public inquiry into the October 2007 Taser death of Dziekanski in Vancouver's airport.
The Crown alleged the four officers colluded on a story to tell homicide investigators and then lied again at the public inquiry.
Const. Bill Bentley was acquitted of the perjury charge in 2013, while Const. Kwesi Millington was convicted on largely the same evidence earlier this year
