The NATO-led international military coalition in Afghanistan says that a car bomb attack struck one of its convoys in Kabul, killing three troops and wounding five.
The statement from the military coalition known as ISAF did not say which nationalities the troops were. The attack happened next to an ISAF base that houses many Americans.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred just a couple hundred metres from the U.S. Embassy.
