Picket lines at schools around B.C. are coming down today so the province's 41,000 striking teachers can meet with union leaders.
The study sessions, which are being organized at locations around the province, are a chance for union leaders and members to exchange views about the strike.
B.C. Teachers' Federation president Jim Iker is expected to address the meetings during a public webcast at 10 a.m. PT from the federation headquarters in Vancouver.
CBC News will livestream the address online.
The government has been calling on the union to suspend the strike so teachers can return to classes while negotiations resume.
Iker has rejected the demands, saying the teachers' resolve remains strong, but on the picket lines many teachers admit they are feeling the financial strain from the three-month strike.
After the meetings, the union will hold rallies around B.C., including one at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver at 5 p.m. PT.
