A woman in her 20s has died while skydiving in the Town of Georgina, about 80 kilometres north of Toronto.


The accident happened around 8 p.m. Saturday night near the Baldwin Airport, according to York Regional Police.


It appears that the woman suffered catastrophic equipment failure, police say.


The victim was an experienced skydiver, police add.


No other details have been released.


Last year, a man in his 40s was also killed while skydiving in the same area.
