Russia is leading Canada 2-0 so far in the battle for bronze at the world junior championship in Sweden.
Mikhail Grigorenko scored a power play goal for the Russians to give them a 1-0 lead over Canada, 3½ minutes into the game. Eduard Gimatov scored the second goal just a few minutes later.
Team Canada had to settle for a chance to finish in third place in today's action after a 5-1 loss to Finland on Saturday.
The Canada-Russia pairing is the first of two games scheduled as the championship winds down. Later today, Sweden and Finland battle it out for gold.
