The Toronto International Film Festival opened on Sept. 5 with the premiere of the WikiLeaks-themed thriller The Fifth Estate, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Alicia Vikander and Carice van Houten, to name a few.

As the 38th annual version of the film festival gets underway, star-spotters and cinemaphiles alike are offered a rare chance to see and, as was the case with Brad Pitt's surprise arrival on the red carpet for 12 Years a Slave on Friday, get an autograph or pose for a photo with their favourite screen stars.
