A reveller at the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival in Toronto died Saturday night after falling from a float during the celebrations.


The 18-year-old man was on one of the floats when he slipped and was later struck by the float around 8:50 p.m.


Police responded to the scene of the accident in the Lake Shore Boulevard West and Dowling Avenue area downtown.


The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but died from his injuries.
